Kirk Schueler is the President and CEO of Brooks Resources Corporation, a Bend real estate development company with a long history in central Oregon. Kirk started with Brooks in 1993 as its Controller and became President in 2000. Over those years Brooks developed iconic neighborhoods such as Awbrey Butte, Awbrey Glen, and NorthWest Crossing. In 2010 Kirk left Brooks to become the Chief Administrative Officer at St. Charles Health System which operates four hospitals and several primary care and specialty clinics in central Oregon. Kirk returned to Brooks in 2016 as President and added the CEO title. Prior to coming to central Oregon he spent nearly 7 years with KPMG in audit services first in San Jose, CA, then in Portland, OR.
He holds a B.A. in Accounting from the University of Oregon (87) and a B.S. in Forestry from the University of Nevada (82). He is a proud native of Las Vegas, NV. Kirk served on the Oregon State Board of Education from 2009 until 2014, then was appointed to the newly formed Board of Trustees for Oregon State University. He served as chair of the Finance and Administration committee on both boards until 2018 at which time he was elected to become the vice chair at Oregon State. He also serves on the boards of Mt. Bachelor Sports Education Foundation and The Bend Foundation.
