Tim is an Oregon native; he was born and grew up in the small eastern Oregon town of Nyssa. He spent four years in the U.S. Air Force before attending and graduating from Portland State University, followed by a B.F.T. degree at the American Institute of Foreign Trade (Thunderbird). Tim went to work for Chase Manhattan Bank in 1968 and over the course of his career held a variety of positions, ultimately retiring in 1996 as the C.E.O. of Chases’ Asia Pacific Region. From 1996 to 1998 he was the Limited Chairman and C.E.O. of Tristate Holdings. Tim currently lives in Tumalo and custom farms 500 acres of premium grass hay. His philanthropic activities include the High Desert Museum, Central Oregon Community College and Portland State University.
